"It seems fatefully perfect that the debut album from Richard Lee should arrive in the mail during a string of much needed sunny days. A seasonal gift for the summer, an extra layer for a cool lighter evening. The striking acoustic style has been developed over a relatively short time, incredibly well seasoned for such an unfashioned and gifted singer / songwriter. Lyrically very human and vocally very honest.
Hands up, we're guilty of the first degree regarding the amount of exposure we give to solo artists. You have got to be tough as nails to produce an predominately acoustic project, no hiding behind multi-tracks and samples, you are ultimately laid bear and unfolded for world to see. One of
life's labours of love, that's coming from me, a failed guitarist who has only managed to learn eleven basic chords.
Richard is playing live over the coming months, have a nose at his website and show a sense of support,
there's a full listing of future shows." MOJOPHENIA

"8
out of 10
This...caught my attention as soon as it started. It is the culmination of two
years of hard work, originally conceived as an acoustic album. It was completed
in 2006, but was then reworked, re-recorded with "an unsuspecting drummer
and a brilliant bassist" as well as some other key people. The result is a
very well crafted album of 11 personal songs of pain and hope. The title track
is a confident and well realised pop song; in contrast "Holding Out"
is a great funk/rock track with a nifty little acoustic solo and showcases an
impressive vocal range. The style is gentle acoustic rock, not a challenging
listen but also it never descends into bedroom muse predictability though...
Richard has a striking voice and is a talented guitarist, making this an album
that I know will grow and grow on me." Paul

"Well what can
I say. Fantastic. You have really hit the spot for me. I think you have a great voice and your songs are extremely poetic. I had a listen and
I had the old goose bumps while listening to Beautiful Car Wreck..."

"I
got this album last summer and didn't listen to it, I don't know why as it's
really rather good" Andy Vale @

"Richard
Lee...is again one of those musicians who has a great presence on
stage. He's a fine guitarist, with original songs, I'm pleased
Rich has chosen to play the Horns and share his material with us."
